A remake tale, the story begins with Manja (ganesh) and Shyloo (bhama) who grow from childhood and are very attached to each other. Manja is very intensely involved with Shyloo. However, Shyloo's mother is a selfish lady and knowing that, Manja attacks her one day. For this, he lands in prison for a month. But unable to bear separation from her, he escapes from jail. This becomes a headache for jailor Bhaskar (suchindra) and constable Ramaiah (rangayana). They set out on the search to catch hold of Manja. However, a twist in the tale occurs. What happens after that forms the rest of the story

The director has come up with an intense storyline and while the presentation was mesmerising, the narrative was good in parts. The script was written well and the screenplay was upto the mark. Background score was strong and three songs were impressive. Dialogues were deep. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were natural while the art department was appealing. Ganesh has given a convincing performance and he squeezes the hearts, Bhama was naturally beautiful and gives a good act. The duo of Rangayana Raghu and Suchindra Prasad were the best among the lot. Suresh Chandra was standard.

Conclusion: The film is the remake of the Kollywood hit 'Mynaa' and though it didn't have that sort of intensity and emotional voltage, it was made with good conviction. The technical values of the film were good and the performance from the lead cast was another advantage. Of course, the native Kannada audience would also strike a chord with it. However, it is not meant for entertainment seeking viewers, it is only for those who love emotional tearjerkers with heavy feelings.
